It would be VERY tough, since there isn't an aosp rom for the DX yet, but I wouldn't say it's impossible. Just VERY close to it.

Now, there are from source roms that have these or something like it in them, so when they finally get aosp working properly on the X, you will see them.

Fission != true aosp. With fission you get a stock rom and that's about it.

the MIUI Rom's have the power controls in the pull down menu if thats what your looking for.

Well so does Cyanogen, UD, and soon a few more roms I would imagine, but that doesn't matter for his DX which doesn't have any of those.
