I bought a used Samsung Fascinate and it lists the OS as 2.2-Update 1. My wife bought a new Samsung Fascinate and the OS is 2.2.1. Is there any difference between the two? If they are the same, why don't they list in settings as the same. If they're not the same, which is better. My phone runs great except for GPS which starts up about 1/4 mile off. But that's another question.

Same thing. If you root you can change Roms that fix your GPS. Or you can flash a GPS mod in the development forum.

Thanks for the reply. What does it mean to "flash a GPS mod" in the development forum? I have no experience in rooting. I'd be afraid I'd brick my phone
