froyo.. big disappointment. well kinda

Are you kidding me? youre pissed off because its only getting half the mflops of the nexus one? be happy that youre getting 18 instead of 8-12 like you were on 2.1!!

well i forgot to mention im running 1.25 ghz custom rom. with set cpu at performance.
while a stock nexus one gets 37.
and i was running jrummy rom and was getting. with 2.1 View attachment 9663

im pleased very much so. everything has come along way.. i remember my g1 2 years ago.

Remember that this is a beta/RC release and is nowhere near final, also linpack scores dont really represent the true performance. While the MFLOPS may be comparable between a 2.1 with JIT @1.25 GHz and 2.2 @1.25 GHz, IMO froyo is definitely a lot more responsive than eclair considering 75%+ of 2.1 apps couldnt take advantage of JIT where as mostly all 2.2 apps can take advantage of it.

Im sure in a week we'll be even more amazed by it when it becomes close to final.

I do have to disagree with you. I was getting 4 mflops...so 18 is damn good.

hm, which 1.25ghz kernel are you using? the kernels i've tried with Froyo just result in a shutdown immediately after it shows the lock screen (says I have no battery, service, or anything else)
