Just received this email from Amazon. Sling TV has released a new app for your Fire TV and it's advised you uninstall your old Sling TV app and download the new one. They'll even credit you $10 to your Amazon account. See details below.
Hello,
We're contacting you about the Sling TV app on your Amazon Fire TV device. There is a new version of the app that offers a better viewing experience. Please uninstall the current version of the Sling TV app and upgrade to the new version. This will not impact your service and you will use your same Sling TV account information as before. Future versions of the app will install automatically.
If you try to open the current version of the app, you will receive an error message. After you update the app, you will no longer see these messages.
Please follow these steps to uninstall the current version of the app and to download the new version from the Amazon Appstore:
1. On your Amazon Fire TV device, from the Home screen select "Settings" then "Applications" then "Manage All Installed Applications."
2. Select the Sling TV app.
3. Select "Uninstall."
4. Now that you've completely removed the current version, return to the Home screen and search for "Sling TV".
5. From the search results, select the Sling TV app and then "Download."
After downloading the new app, you can sign in with your Sling TV information. You will not need to re-subscribe or set up a new account.

The credit has already been added to your Amazon account and will be automatically applied to your next order.
