Face Detection in Droid

I want to be able to snap a picture in my app, and then get Face Detect to detect all faces in that picture, then return results to the user - ie: how far apart the eyes are, etc...

Has anyone ever done this? I stumbled across some code for Face Detect online, and seem to be getting bugs left and right when I run it. Any suggestions?
