External battery charger? If you are talking Droid RAZR, since the battery is semi-permanent, I don't think so. If you mean a portable charger/booster, I use the Motorola P893.

I don't know what you consider gigantic, but the Motorola P893 is actually about 20% smaller than the Droid RAZR and is much lighter. It's not really that much bigger (about twice as long) than the battery inside that it runs off of - the same battery used in the OG Droid and D2 (and possibly others that I am not aware of).

I had the Motorola P893...it was smaller than my Thunderbolt...

I sold it and now have an Energizer XP4001...a lot bigger but also has 4000mah...
