Enter key-can I turn it off?

Is there any way to turn off the "enter" key from sending messages on the physical keyboard? I hit it instead of the delete enough times it's frustrating me! I'm coming from a BB where I could and I can't seem to find a setting to do this.

I do not know about with stock messaging but with handscent (probably chomp as well) you can change it to allow the enter key to start a new paragraph.

yea on handcent you can change it from enter, alt+enter, or none.

You go to setting on the stock messaging app and turn of notifications.
