Droid X2 Text Issues

I got this phone within the past two months and it has worked fine. However, I attempted to send a text message yesterday to a new contact in my phone but every time I try to send one an error message pops up. If he sends a text to me though, I receive it fine. His is the only number in my phone this happens to. Suggestions?

It would help you would tell us what the error message says. Telling us that it gave you an error message with out the content of that message is 100% pointless you get no help that way.

It just says "Text message not sent" and a red X appears beside the message in the text thread.
