Droid X won't sync anything

I have a little problem. I rooted my phone saturday using the guide posted here. I also replaced the build.prop with the one posted in the DX hacking forum.

Now my phone won't sync anything. Contacts, calendar, emails, nothing will sync. I tried clearing the gmail storage cache, I did about 3 factory resets, still nothing.

The strange thing is that my firmware is listed as 2.2 but the baseband, kernel, are all the same as 2.1

I don't know if I should take my phone in to verizon since they might know I rooted.

O btw, I've unrooted and it still doesn't sync.

And in another thread, I had read if you log into the youtube app with your gmail account it will sync or add (if you are trying to add a new account) - sounds weird but they say it works... adding another google gmail account (I know the title says adding another, but read if ya want)...
