Droid 4 Play store App Downloads - Wifi Only?

I am new to this forum, but this is not my first time on a forum ever. My mom and girlfriend both have a droid 4 and something we've come to notice is that they can't download apps
unless they are connected to wifi. I got my droid 4 yesterday and I've been downloading apps all day long with wifi turned off. This has made my girlfriend upset because I don't know
why hers does this and I'm not sure how to fix it (usually I fix her phone problems). It has to be a setting because my mom and I are on the same plan, but only I can do it. Any
suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the droid forums... try going into your settings, data manager, and make sure that data saver isn't checked on their devices.

There are different ones, its been a little while... since the d4 is still on gb this is what I think it has to be.

tap play store then menu (bottom left)
settings
check update over wi-fi only or not
this saves so much data being downloaded over the air
