Is there a good way to update a rooted Verizon droid 2 to the latest available release without losing apps or settings? The update downloads ok, but then fails on boot. I tried unrooting temporarily with the z4root app; still no go. I mainly needed root for the Barnacle app and ssh daemon, but also made a few customizations (FM radio enabled, ring timer set shorter); would that be interfering with the update? Does the radio app work ok on Gingerbread?
