Just purchased the Droid 2 Friday and have been trying to familiarize myself with the phone and apps. I found this forum searching for some info online.

Welcome abord Fighter59. The words "trying to familiarize" makes me think you might be coming from another Smart Phone? Maybe not. Anyway welcome and if you need assistance finding something please let us know.

Welcome! Good to have you with us. Check out the entire Droid 2 section in the Forum. You will find quite a lot of very helpful information on your Droid2.

welcome to the Forum!! like Mike said, in addition to the Droid Discussions section (for all things Droid), there is a separate section, with several subforums, devoted entirely to the D2. you'll find all the info you want, and probably more! other than that, my experience tells me that there's no substitute for spending time with your Droid.

browse around, post around, and stick around and join in the fun! :)

Thanks for the welcomes. I've never had a smart phone. I've tinkered with our sons Ipod Touch. I consider myself some what computer savvy so I've been feverishly loading apps this weekend to see what this monster will do.

I rooted my old phone and added ringtones and such through bitpm. I'm anxious to famliarize myself with my Droid. I want to learn it before I try to get to fancy.

Sounds like you have a good plan. If you decide to root take your time and read. Make notes and if you have questions post them. Whatever your needs the community will be here to assist.
