It went well, so I thought, when using the common method (forget the name now). Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, bootstrap, all work well, but adjustbrightness doesn't. It has permission, but doesn't think my Razr is rooted. Would it hurt or help if I used the same original method to re-root at this point?

Probably won't do anything but you can try it. Certainly won't hurt.

Make sure you use the same method though.
