I noticed that there were many developers on board with the Droid X regardless of the boot loader. But now, many have jumped ship to the Thunderbolt because of the boot loader.

So it has me wondering; how many developers will actually support the Droid Bionic?

Nothing official as far as I know, I would assume it would be just as locked as the current generation of droids though.

I'm curious to see how much of an impact (if any) having the bootloader locked down had on Droid 2/x sales... the Modding community is a fraction of the size and I've known people who returned the phone for that very reason... heck I've had an upgrade since September... I'm waiting on the bionic... the ONLY reason I'm using a Droid 2 is because I got it for free (from someone) and like a good challenge haha

Yea, I'm pretty sure it'll end up locked down. Which is why I'm concerned about how it will do on the developers front. It's the only thing the Thunderbolt has over the Bionic.
