We have an interesting double-hitter of news for fans of the video game series, Deus Ex. First, Square Enix has announced a new mobile game which will be set in the Deus Ex universe. It's called Deus Ex Go, and it will continue in that developer's tradition of releasing a tactical turn-based game using the world from other games. The two previous examples are Tomb Raider Go and Hitman Go.
Deus Ex Go will revolve around missions for covert agent Adam Jensen, and will include combat, hacking and upgraded augmentations so he can solve puzzles and infiltrate locations. The game will be “coming this summer on phones and tablets” and will sell for $4.99.
You can check out the reveal trailer in the thread below. The second news bite in the Deus Ex universe is potentially coming to real life. Eidos Montreal, Razer and Open Bionics are teaming up to create real world designs of prosthetic limbs based upon the augmented limbs found in the game. Obviously they aren't developing the weapons that feature in Adam Jensen's prosthetic arsenal, but will focus on the aesthetic design features found in the game.
The goal of the project is to spur the prosthetic industry to create artificial limbs that are more appealing to look at than the standard fare in the industry now. We have a video demo of that project which is also shared in the thread below.
