Delete Unwanted Desktop Panel

Okay this may seem like a newbish question but I exhausted my easter egging!

I accidentally added two many icons to a desktop and the OS added another desktop panel? Now I want to get rid of it how can I change the number of desktop panels staying with the stock launcher?

Double tap home and you should see an X on the screen you want to delete.

You'll have to move any icons to another screen before you can delete the screens. (You probably already know this though)

You can also pinch the homescreens like Launcher Pro and it will do the same function.

No problem. I just feel double tapping home feels so un-intuitive for that action.
