Data usage

Im the only one on this data plan and I do watch movies and tv series (HBO go).
I just thought if I was on wifi the data usage wont be monitored. Imagine if I was on the capped plan? That's alot of overage
Charges.

I could be, or a bunch cause that's a lot of data maybe you should get a monitoring app to see

I recall an app called PhoneUsage that will show you a detailed breakdown of your data usage, by apps. So you will know how and when it is being used.

DroidWall is pretty cool. You say which apps can access the network.

If you are with the big VZ they will essentially "grandfather" the unlimited plan. This will allow you to keep it if they get rid of it, but the first time you swap out your device or upgrade then it will "fall off". This being said if you keep your phone "maintained" i.e flash it yourself to keep it running and that sort of thing you will be able to keep it. Wifi tethering is going to have a tough time when they get 4g network across all new devices. I have faith that the good people who do all the leg work to keep us rooting will eventually keep us rocking and rolling. As far as the monthly usage, i push like 20 gbs a month.
