cannot find app on LG phone, bar code scanner

LG tribute 5 phone, Andriod 5.1.1
I installed the Barcode Reader by ZXing and the phone said the app was install. I cannot find it. When I scroll through all the apps there is nothing that looks like a QR or Barcode reader. Upon going to the Apps application to look at the apps, nothing is shown with the name or an icon that looks like what I am expecting.
How do I find this app and get it started?

Did you try to download it again? Does the App Store show an Open button for the app?

If yes, I have the same problem with several apps on my iPhone.

First time I tried to download load it again the button to install read Installed. The second time it downloaded but I was not able to get it to work. The third time worked. When I showed it a QR on my monitor it did nothing.
I am trying to get my authorization set up for coinbase.
I just now downloaded Google's Authorization app since coinbase recommended it. I will know soon what happens. Hopefully that is.
Edit
Now I have three readers installed. The google authentication is the only one that "does" anything, and it is an app created just for authentication. Turns our thaat is what I really needed. Now to delete the other two.
