Can they tell if its rooted? What should I do??

I have rooted my droid recently, and am running bugless beast on firmware 2.1.

My question is, i turned it on this morning and the LCD screen just went out on it, but the back light still works. So it lights up a little, but i cant even get into the phone cause nothing shows up. I was thinking of taking it back to the store, because it is still in warranty, but i don't know if they will be able to detect if it is rooted. Just wondering if there was any way to unroot, or go back to stock, without even being able to opperate the phone? or if they will be able to tell at all.

Any help with this, even just thoughts, would be much appreciated.

Try just pulling the battery for a few seconds then putting back in and power on again. Mine has locked up like you describe and that is the fix.
