What Should I do?

Hey Guys, I have a rooted X with 2.1, I still have all the bloatware on it, and never did any customizing, just added wifi tether to it, but now I'm getting a pop-up telling me to install the new firmware, but I'm afraid to do this since I'm rooted, will this mess up my phone? will I lose my root?

I had to SBF back to 2.1 to get mine to update. And I do believe you'll lose root, though I think I remember reading the root method for the Droid 2 works with the DX 2.2

I have a rooted Droid. I've never received an OTA notification. Let me see if I can get a member of the rescue squad who has an X to weigh in on this issue.
