My wife is on Virgin Mobile, I'm on Verizon. She's upstairs, I'm downstairs. She tried to call me, and it went straight to my voicemail (twice). She tried to text me, I received nothing. Eventually she got up. (she's pregnant and real sick, in case you're wondering why she didn't just get up in the first place! ;))

So she told me what happened, I tested again to verify she wasn't crazy, I showed no missed calls or anything. I grabbed my phone, and called her phone - it connected and rang, and then all of a sudden her text showed up, and her phone was able to call mine again. It was like me calling her opened up the gateway again...

So - Verizon or Virgin/Sprint? She did get my voicemail, which I thought was odd and made me lean towards a problem on Verizon's end or on my phone.

As a small follow up... been trying to recreate the scenario with no luck. Still bothers me, though, if it was a Verizon issue... I left Virgin and came back to VZW because of 3G reliability issues.
