So my wife and I just moved into our new trailer. We don't have internet yet so I was like "Hey! Rooted X. Free wifi. No problem!" I downloaded barnacle, but couldn't get it to connect, so I unfroze a wifi app I had before, Wifi tether. I have used it before and it worked great. Well when I turned it on and connected, the factory mobile hotspot popped up on my notification bar. I didn't think anything of it because I wasn't using it. Well nothing would load up on my computer. I turned off wifi and went to get on DF app and it wouldn't connect. Pandora wouldn't connect and neither would eBay. When I got on dolphin browser, it redirected me to Verizon's page explaining mobile hotspot and if I wanted to subscribe. I rebooted and turned wifi app back on, then off. Same thing. Reboot. And everything is back to normal. So did Verizon just catch me and stop me from using free wifi?

I wouldn't worry about it, even if you installed the wugs patch in the past go ahead and install it again. You'll get a tether app in your app drawer after installing the patch so just use that. Here's a link to the patch http://goo-inside.me/devs/WugFresh/WugPacked_GB_Tether/WugPacked_GB_Tether_Patch_1.2.zip just press your power button and select recovery and install that (no wipes required) then try the tether app and if you don't get redirected to verizon's page your good to go.
Here's the full link to wugs patch http://www.DroidXForums.com/forum/g...8-wugpacked-gb-tether-patch-all-one-zips.html
