So I've noticed quite a few apps that aren't supported on the droid 3, but are supported for older model phones. A couple I was looking for are Hulu, and Galaxy on Fire 2. They don't even show up in the market on my d3.

My question is, will the d3 eventually be supported by these apps that aren't now?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the reason is that the developers need to go make an update to the market to have these apps listed for you're version of Android.

Oh okay. That makes sense. I hope these developers start supporting the d3. I'm always seeing apps that my friends/family have that I can't get yet because they're not supported :(

It shouldn't have to be supporting the d3 but spring the version of Android you are using. I think the d3 uses
2.3 like the bionic so they should both be seeing the same issue. Usually its not the little developers that fail to update their apps, but the big corporate ones.
