App to transmit video??

I have some videos that I would like to view on my TV. I have Bluetooth which will get the audio there, but dont know how to get the video on screen. Anyone ever do this?

Use an hdmi cable or if you have a wifi signal use dlna.

I dont want to use a cable because I want to transmit from one room to another.

I have the video downloaded into my Linux computer. .

I can play it on the computer and I can open it in the "editor" but the editor doesnt give me the option to change format. I dont have HDTV so the TV wont play the clip anyway.
