I ABSOLUTELY believe in the first amendment. I don't want the gov't to tell me what I can read/watch/say/share/whatever and I don't think people should shun their responsiblities (child monitoring/rearing) off on the gov't.

I walk into a Barnes & Noble bookstore. I don't see any pornographic literature anywhere. They choose NOT to sell porn. I don't like it - I walk across the street to the Smut Magazine Shop and get as perverse as I want.

I look to buy an Apple iPhone. I don't see any available pornographic apps anywhere in their store. I drop the phone and walk across the street and by xPhone - and download porn apps as much as I please.

First Amendment? Hmmm - where does the Constitutions come into play here? What has that got to do with Apple restricting sexual or suggestive apps on their own device, their own OS, their own "free to buy of your choice" product? Free Enterprise! You own a company - you should be allowed to dictate certain parameters as much as you please. Your dollar, your company, your decision. Don't like it - walk across the street!

I totally fail to understand all the negative hoopla with the comments about how many feel Apple should be running their company. My question - how many of the negative comments come from those who own and operate their own business? How do you feel about Free Enterprise and those who have never walked inches in your shoes let alone miles proclaiming they have the right to tell you how to run your business? Nobody forces anyone to buy an iPhone. Geez - there's tons of other phones out there. I'm betting every comment placed here came from someone who doesn't even own an iPhone - yet they are jumping all over Apple. Why? For what reason? You had the freedom to make your own choice to go with whatever manufacturer you wanted - no gun to your head saying "buy Apple - and best damn like the way they will control you"!

I'm not defending Apple here - I'm defending the rights of private companies to operate in any way they feel fit. Protesters would be better off jumping all over companies that provide products and services that give you no choice. Like your electric. Your gas. And most of all - your TAXES! And you know who runs that little company... ;)

And now - I'm running for the hills! I'm not sure I like the crowd I see running towards me wielding axes and waving clubs in the air! ;):icon_censored: mikey

Not sure if I agree with Apple on this one but it would be nice to not have all that stuff in my way when I am searching through the market. Is there some way to filter that?
