Android 2.2 Calendar with Color Coding and Start Day

I have modified the android 2.2 calendar.
I did not like the new look at all so I added color coding / syntax highlighting for a better visual aid.
I have included 2 attachments. Let me know what you think.:icon_ banana:
Remember. This is a work in progress. I have recompiled the entire app from source so please report any errors.

update 07-06-2010: Added start day settings.
update 07-08-2010: Added Saturday and Default Day settings

I like it! Where can we dl it? Will it support "category" colors that sync from my outlook via Google Calendar Sync?

Nice work. I would like to see where this can go, being that I think the calendar app is a HUGE fail on Google's part...

Yes. The category colors from your google account are the colors used.

Right now I am just editing the UI. Gunna try to get the changes commited to google when I get it clean enough.

Nothing done with the widget yet. I agree, the widget comes in short as well.

I haven't thought about the widget yet so any ideas would be nice. My first thought would be to have a month view widget pretty close to what I have created or even a week view. Something a little bigger that shows more information.

I like it. A little bit to transparent for my preference but good work.

Do we just push this to the phone with adb? I assume so but want to check

    That would work just fine.
If using adb you can replace the installed Calendar. It is installed under /system/app/CalendarGoogle.apk

    using BB
    adb push Calendar.apk /sdcard
    adb shell
    sysrw
cp /system/app/CalendarGoogle.apk /sdcard/ <- Backup working version incase of issues.
    cp /sdcard/Calendar.apk /system/app/CalendarGoogle.apk
    sysro

Other option is to use the barcode scanner and download it with phone and install.
I have only tested on Android 2.2.

Yeah I can't get away from the transparent look, I run LWP constant and like to see the background.

If anyone has tried it, please let me know what you think.
    Do the colors help?
    Do they make sense?
    Any suggestions?
