Alarm didn't go off

I just wound up being an hour late for work because, for some reason, the alarm on my phone didn't sound. I checked the settings and it is enabled with an audible sound and vibration and the correct time. The one thing I did notice is that somehow snooze three times had been enabled. Could that have stopped it from going off?
