A request to the rooted froyo guys

Can one of you give me a little run-down of the wifi tethering? Is it fast, slow, kinda bad but still acceptable because it's an awesome feature, etc? Anything worth mentioning, I suppose. Thanks!

Well Froyo itself doesnt have wifi-tethering built in..at least not a release we have gotten yet.. it has USB tethering.. wifi tether is a feature root users have regardless of 2.1 or 2.2

right, and it works pretty well, but mostly just a super cool feature

i use barnacle or the built in wifi wicheverone works at the time but i love it i can carry my laptop around and its convenient
