Z3 looks to be a complete bomb

Verizon has dropped the price to $10 / mo so $240.
Let that sink in.
Moto's latest high end phone.... is $240.

A friend of mine just ordered it. Hell at that price I might to just to have a spare.
$2...hundred.... and $40.....
Just wow.

6 months in, the Z3 is still the best phone I've ever owned. It's a tremendous upgrade from the Z2 my daughter owns. Camera, battery life, multi-screen function, storage ... why spend a grand on a fruit-phone when you could have it all in a Z3?

I am planning on buying a Z3 for my wife for Mother's Day (shhhhh....don't ruin the surprise). There is nothing wrong with her Z2 Play. She just wants something new. That will allow her to keep using out existing Moto Mods for another year or two (or three). And I'll give her Z2 to a family member that needs a phone.

I think the upcoming 5G Moto Mod will help sell more Z3 phones. They sold out within the first few days of pre-order. I bet Verizon & Moto didn't expect that. And even though the 5G Moto Mod will work on the Z2 Force eventually, you could only buy the Mod if you have an active Z3 or added a new Z3 with the Mod purchase.

If there is a Z4 this Summer and if the first gen Moto Mods are still compatible, I'll buy one. If not, then I'll probably grab a Z3 also. Just to try one for a year and then see what is released in 2020.

I hope so. But I predict a Z4 with no Shattershield for Verizon only, and a Z4 Play for all other markets. I hate it, but I truly believe Shattershield is dead. Sad.
