Youtube doesn't work on DX

I got a new Droid X a few days ago and it won't play youtube videos. There's a Youtube widget right on one of my home pages, but when I click on it the video begins to load for about 10-15 seconds and then it stops and says:

Sorry, this video cannot be played
There was a problem while playing​

I tried to uninstall then reinstall it, but it apparently is one fo the programs that comes pre-loaded on the phone so it won't let me uninstall it.

Any suggestions?

I had same issue and did a factory reset which seemed to solve the problem. Though apparently some Droid Xs aren't getting along with froyo so that might be the real issue.

Did either of you try restarting the phone. That usually fixes it for most ppl i've talked to. Its kind of like a band aid though seeing as you may have to restart the phone once a week but I think that's good practice anyway.

Agreed, a restart usually will corect most small glitches like your youtube problem. A restart also clears the memory and resets it to make things work faster.
There is a new youtube app in the market that you might want to try out as well. Its very nice. I haven't installed it on my X yet. But its built in to the rom I am running on my droid.
