You can install but no nfc.

So, short of going to the store and trying it, is there a way to test if the nfc part will activate Google wallet for payment?

I just installed Google wallet on my maxx. Apparently att and verizon allow it now. I just installed it and it loads. Haven't tried to buy anything yet but I will tonight.
Did you try to purchase anything yet? If so, did it work?

Just tried it and it does NOT work. Had a friend try his ATT HTC One and it didn't work either.
I'm rooted though so I'm going to try installing an older version of wallet to see if I can work around it.
Well, that's unfortunate!!! How do we contact Google and Verizon to get this fixed?? That's the main feature of this app/service!!!!

I know, it sucks....but if you ask Verizon, Google is the issue....stop pointing fingers at each other, fix the problem and then give me a thumbs up!!!!

If your rooted the new update works with the Google wallet patch. And you can use NFC
