Well if you are like me and you like using the stock Email app, but you noticed that on a Gingerbread Rom it won't connect......here's your solution.
When you open the stock email app it will ask for your email address and password. Fill in both of these portions but instead of clicking on "Next" click to the left on "Manual Setup." 3 Options will pop up which I believe are
POP
IMAP
EXCHANGE/OTHER
Select "IMAP"
Leave the username and password fields alone
In the field "IMAP Server" type:
imap.mail.yahoo.com
Change the port to 993
Change "Security Type" to:
SSL (Accept All Certificates)
Click "Next"
On "SMTP Server" type:
smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Change port to 465
Change "Security Type" to:
SSL (Accept All Certificates)
Click next and you're done.
I know there are tons of other email apps out there that people like better and think are easier to setup.
