Holy schikes! I stumped the Samuri?!? Lol

All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi...

No, I simply refuse to pull answers out of my @$$. If I don't know, I prefer to simply say "I don't know." Since I don't use roms, I have no experience there.

The answer is that the AOSP builds like the CM series ROMs use a different Exchange client than Motorola phones do.

Ah makes sense. I noticed that too but wasn't sure what the difference in clients would translate to in practice. Still an android paduwan, what can I say :)

I'll refer back to my post this morning about the refreshing lack of BS on this thread. :) Thanks, you may have another HoB convert soon. If worst comes to worst I can use my other phone for work emails.

That's why a 3rd party app like Touchdown is the best idea for Exchange support since it is consistent across OS versions. If you require decent Exchange support, it's the best way.

Yeah but touchdown wouldn't work for me either. I wonder if our server is only set up to allow the moto client. But then I shouldn't be able to get anything on CM9 on my tab.

I'm wondering what security your exchange is putting in place to make it so difficult.
I'm using enhanced Email, have my roadrunner, Gmail and exchange email sent to it. Granted, it's not a billion dollar multi national company, but it's not a mom& pop organization either.

You and me both. Mine is just a local government server. And I can connect on my Palm Pre for pete's sake. It can't be that friggin secure...
