Didn't know about that feature until now... very cool. I already had the back button enabled as unlock, so I changed the left-to-right slider to go straight to my dialer. Nice!

I bought this app when it first was released an I uninstalled because I would always see the standard lock screen before the widget locker would show up. I'm not sure if its because it was the first version, or I read about the 5 second pause android has implemented, or what. It seems this app has come a long way and I'd like to try it again. Can anyone comment on my previous issue, an if that still exists in these later versions.

i was in the same boat as you. happened all the time when i first bought it when it came out. now, since the latest update, hasn't happened since.
Settings -> Buttons & inputs -> uncheck "allow home"

yeah I figured that was it, but that option for me is grey. I'm not sure why.

Go to Settings and pick Tutorial. Page 3 explains what the home helper is and why you should use it and then allows you to set it as your default home.

okay yeah understood. I just hope when my phones in my pocket an I accidentally hit the power button, I don't also hit the home button. Other then that, this lock screen is amazing! I love the customizable lock sliders, very useful. Looking forward to more features![]()

Wait I think I wasn't clear. The Home button CAN be blocked.
However in order to do so WidgetLocker, rather than your Launcher, needs to receive the action first so it can decide if it should block it or not. To do that you need to set the Home Helper as your default home. This will NOT prevent you from using your current Home. WidgetLocker's Home Helper simply gets the Home button action, looks at your settings and the state of the system, and then either discards it or forwards it to your actual Home application (Sense UI, LauncherPro, ADW, whatever).
To setup the Home Helper you can go to Settings and pick Clear Home, then hit the home button and select WLocker Home Helper and make it the default. Then another box popups asking you to chose your actual home (Or it picks for you if you only have the system default installed).
After this you'll see the preference is not grayed out.
Basically, when Widgetlocker is engaged, the pop-up window does not slide upwards on the screen to make room for my virtual keyboard.
Finally, I would like to humbly petition once more for landscape compatibility...it's really painful to have to disable the lockscreen when in dock mode or in the car.
