wi-fi access when traveling

I can not get the motel sign on screen to come up when I try to use the wi-fi at the motel? is there a setting I am missing? It gives me an internal server failure when I try to lauch google. The motel sign-in screen comes right up when I log onto my computer and launch internet explorer. I am working with a stock phone.

have you tried to browse to the motel login page on your phone? If so, is it running with flash?

Type the website address that you see on your laptop, into your phone browser.

Once you associate with the hotel access point open your browser and browse to this URL:

http://1.1.1.1

Usually that will bring up the hotel sign in page.
