Is there any reason to do this other than saving space in the internal memory? Seems like the droid x has so much internal memory and the only thing you can use it for is apps - why would you need/want to move any apps to the SD card?

There is no reason to do this on the X

That's what I figured... just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some other benefit... Thanks

Main problem with apps on the sd IMO is the lag in accessing data if you have a slow/stock sdcard.

Also if you mount your device to a pc all apps on sd cannot be run.

I just do it to save space. I have a D1 with limited space, so I move all I can over to my card.

Did a search and came up with this thread so I am bumping this up...

Is there a list or thread somewhere with apps that SHOULD BE on SD and those that SHOULD NOT BE on SD?

Or is it just a blanket response... apps should not be on SD.

I'm still on the search for figuring out some of my lag/reboot issues... and where things are located could be causing some problems.

Widgets and anything needed immediately on startup should not be moved to SD. Anything needed while the SD card is mounted should not be moved to SD.
