Who else ordered the D3 today!

I ordered mine this morning and I got the overnight shipping with it so I will have mine tomorrow, once I do I plan on getting to work on the DC ROM for the D3, and I will provide a stock system dump for everyone who wants it, I don't know what time Fed-Ex will come, but as soon as they do I'll be getting to work on it.

Who else got one today? and did you overnight it??

I called and got them to let me upgrade 3 weeks early. When I told the rep that I want the droid 3 she said "there is no phone called the droid 3". I explained to her that it just became available and she found it in the system. Overnight shipping with a delivery by 3pm tommorrow.

lol thats funny, i had a similar experience when i ordered i went to the local corporate store walked in and said i wanted to order one and the guy was confused and had to get the manager, who knew what i was talking about and everything was good from then on.. lol

Thanks man, I'll post a system dump as soon as I get the device booted and activated, then i'll start on doing some development work, hope to have a basic AOSP rom built by monday with some Droid Concepts editions like the wallpaper app and root and what not, thats the plan now it just has to come together.

I was just about to order a New Droid 3, But then I was looking at the specs on the verizon site and it says nothing about a SD card slot, just 16gb on board. And on another article about the release of the droid 3 says it doesn't have a sd card slot. But here on droid forums the latest news making it official states new security for sd slot???

Can someone clear this up????

I really can't stand store personnel who don't even try to stay up to date on the latest info for their job's sake. If they subscribed to blogs like BGR, Droid forums, etc. they would easily boost their sales because they will come of more knowledgeable.

Hello! FNG here! (military term)

I am eagerly awaiting feedback on the Droid 3. As a longtime blackberry user, I can't get use to any of the touch screen phones out there. Need to have the keyboard!

Anyway, I want to jump ship from RIM and their ever increasingly lackluster and slow devices.

Right now, I am using a XOOM from work to try and get familiar with Android and it's apps. I work in IT, so I figure these are more geared toward techie folks like myself.

Droid 3, Bionic and Samsung G S2 are in my crosshairs. 4G isnt much a concern since coverage in Iowa is crap right now. But I do want a speedy phone with keyboard if possible.
