Like seriously its been like 3 months since the thunderbolt came out and neither skype or netflix have even made there way to this phone. Anyone know anything about when these apps will come to the thunderbolt?

You do realize netflix just came out in the last 30 days for only a limited number of phones right?

As for skype I would call and ask htc.

It has something to do with drm. It will probably arrive for all htc phones on verizon at the same time.

There is an apk for it that you can install.

I have the Skype .apk & it works great. I'm just gonna sit back & wait for netflix

I have skype. Like Qik better. Netflix... Waiting for a completely stable gingerbread release. But if you want to run a mostly stable gb rom, you can have netflix.

I've been hearing that the gb Ron out there now has been causing a lot of issues for tb users. I've been reluctant to root my phone because of that

Root isn't the issue, just that rom. Plenty of stable roms and battery-friendly kernels to chose from. Youtube a bolt rooting video, it's easy.

finally!

In the past couple weeks Netflix released their app for the Thunderbolt and then yesterday I received a Skype update that includes video calls. A bit late but I no longer have much to complain about other than battery life...
