where did my photos go?

So I got a replacement phone and there was no SD card but I took photos without it so I switched to have it save to sd card now I can't find those photos. Are they gone?

no. when you took them without the external SD card installed, it saved them on the internal "sd card" partition. Look in sdcard/dcim/camera
