I've heard of some s4 users saying they got the same message when they got their phone brand new out of the box.

Boy that's weird if it's brand new out of the box. I think that only pops up when a custom recovery has been flashed, or has been on there at least temporarily.

Usually that's the case, but there have been users reporting brand new out the box they're getting that message. Sometimes after a restart or two it goes away, but some said it's due to the latest update.

I was rooted yes and I did flash the old kernal if you go into phone status and go all the way down it says custom ill take a picture of it
