Does Pure Calendar offer a 2x2 widget?
I currently use calwidget in 2x2 mode, and my screen is setup just how I want it... So I'd rather not change the footprint.

Pure does have 2x2 widget.
I just use the Calendar on Beautiful Widgets. Not only is it a widget but shows the date. I tap it, and it takes me to my calendar and I can pick what i want. Less apps downloaded, less memory taken, and I have free space on my homescreen or extra screens. Also the widget has a clock and the weather. Best. Period
Beautiful Widgets uses the default Googe calendar on your phone. I use both Pure Grid Cal and Android Agenda. One for month view and one for week in detail.
CalWidget for me. Primarily because it works so well with my Exchange/Corporate calendar (you can choose Google as well). Lots of different sizes (I'm currently using the 3x1) and lot of options regarding font colors and backgrounds (I have my background set to fully transparent -- matches nicely with my naked droid skin for Beautiful Widgets).
Android Agenda is what I use, the best free one to sync with google calendar as well as have the refresh, setup, add and the date all in the widget, as well as sync multiple calendars. Has pretty much every widget size you could want, except for any of the really small (1x1 or 1x2), but has 2x2 and up.
