What was the first 'awesome' device that you owned

My first 'awesome' device i owned was not the NES or the SNES but the PSP. Although i owned all those gaming systems and lots of the newer ones, the PSP was my first device that i bought myself without parent help. I worked my butt off to get that thing, then i had the whole homebrew faze....was such an awesome device. Then i got my D1, now my psp is collecting dust.

When the game did not load up on the NES, did anyone else blow on the bottom of the cartridge (and other magical tricks)before inserting into the NES? Seemed to always work 99.99% of the time.

I feel like it wasn't so much the blowing, but the moisture that accumulated on the contacts. I read that you could replace the 72-pin connector and that problem goes away.

I haven't been around as long as you all have!
My siblings all chipped in and get my dad a palm m100 when they first came out... That was a biiig deal! Dad had no idea what to do with it so I started using it and basically inherited it! Oh man, they thing was awesome sauce! My friend and I used to beam games back and fourth and play chess all the time! Then I got a 1g iPod touch, I got it before the app store even existed! Then I got my DroidX! Haven't even charged my ipod touch in almost a year! : P

I've never had a gaming device! I'm too practical! xD
