What settings to change to transfer data from one phone to another?

Hey, I have a Droid X and a Droid 3 and the light went mostly out on the 3 and I'd like to transfer the data from the 3 to the X and in order to see the settings I need to be in a dark room so they can't do it at Best Buy.
So basically I was wondering what settings to change on the 3 so Best Buy can transfer the data from there to my X.
