What phone will you be ditching for the beast?

Knowing how fast Motorola works when do you think you will find out what the Droid HD does and when it will come out?

My bet is you won't even know the stats before the end of the year.

Then look at how thin it is... do you think they made a leap in technology to make something as powerful with a battery as big as the Bionics in half the size? I bet it has a great screen but doesn't have close to the Bionics power.

Even the speculation of the SG II coming to Verizon has it being much thicker.

While it is true that another phone is always on the horizon, we always seek to maximize our purchases. You only have to wait a little longer before much better phones arrive, so why not? Big releases aren't linear like that so at some point you'll get maximum bang for your buck in terms of features and hardware.

every 3 or 4 months there is a much better phone to come out. you will always be waiting.

I've bought a droid 3 as soon as it came out in the stores, and I'm really happy, still no true official confirmation for another phone with as good as hardware as my droid 3 yet. Bionic release hasn't been official so besides 4g, I have the top class verizon phone

Maybe the droid x2. Besides physical keyboard which is just personal preference, the x2 also has 1.0 ghz dual core but it does have 1gb ram, more than the D3. If I had to stick with older 3g mobile network, I'm not really sure which one I would go with.

I was curious someone was going to bring up the x2. The d3 has a front camera and a physical keyboard, runs smoother because of the ti omap4, has better resolution because the both have qhd but the droid3 screen is smaller and the droid 3 is global, can't think of more but I'm pretty sure there is more. Also the interface is a lot nicer.

Ditching me and my wife's thunderbolts for bionics and I guess my 12 year old will ditch his dinc for a thunderbolt and my 9 year daughter will ditch her fascinate for a thunderbolt Then I will have 4 Android devices in the drawer for when I need a warranty replacement or whatever

I'll be letting go my my perfect Droid 1, but I think I may wait 2 weeks for the $199 price at Costco and read up on the 2 phones that may be out around October.

I can't WAIT to ditch my Droid 2 Global for this baby. I've been stalking it since February...

LG EnV3 here, the keyboard is nice but I never use it. I don't know what to do with a Droid yet, but I'll figure it out. I wanted the D3, but wasn't eligible when it came out, then they were all out of stock, so I figure if I have to wait for a D3, I may as well wait for a Bionic.

I think if the D3 had 1Gb RAM I'd be getting that. The memory is more important to me now than the 4G. I'd like to see if I can get that Costco special with batteries, chargers docks, especially if you can also get the Basic Phone to Android phone Trade-in $100 gift card.

I bought my wife an eye phone but I want something more flexible and open. I plan to root it as soon as I'm familiar enough with the phone to know what I'm doing. Like I saw the instructions that get the D3 to root, but I don't know what to do after that.

I supposed I ought to be loading Gingerbread onto my EEE701 4G that's just sitting around.
