I came from the Storm, which I'm happy I had the Storm. I never realized how great smartphones were until I had the Storm. Now with the Droid, I'm much happier. :motdroidhoriz:

How would you compare the iphone to droid?

iphone v droid; Apps easy to use winner goes to iphone
navigation, customization, phone winner goes to droid
keyboard, web browser tied

I was cool with the 3gs and the apps, but I started hating it when I had hardware issues and I had to deal with Apple care. Apple care plus the weak 3g coverage is what makes the iphone not worth the money. The apps are really good and whenever the android market gets more of the major apps look out apple. As far as customization the only way you can customize it is to jailbreak it.

Came from an Omnia, I grew to really not like the lack of a physical keyboard after an Env and a lot of BB Pearls. Touchscreen keyboards may be fine for ladies or girly men but my fingers & thumbs weren't cut out for that style of typing. Perhaps the lame auto spelling on the Omnia also helped to sour my experience. I do miss the quality & clarity of the Omnia's 5MP camera versus the often blurred image camera on my Droid.

I assume the "DUMB" Phone is to be a "Smart Phone."

I only say this because it has taken 366 votes that may or could have been BlackBerry.

It was mentioned that "I bet this stays above 50% for BlackBerry users left for the DROID" Well it is now at 36%... WOW!

I left the Storm 2 to goto DROID.

I actually got the Eris 1st though. I had the Eris for about 1 1/2 days then took it back and got the DROID.

I wasn't to impressed with the slide keyboard in the DROID and therefore that made my decision to not go straight to it.

After awhile I overlooked the keyboard and said... WOW! What do we have here. It was more a mind issue on the keyboard. I hardly use it anyway.

ok, back to playing with my DROID and trying to find more stuff to learn about it...

Good day to you all,

Blackberry has its own voting line. "Dumb phones" are regular cell phones, as opposed to 'smart phones', like ones that use Android, Windows Mobile, Palm's OS, OSX, or Blackberry's OS.

I had an LG Env 3. I didn't even ask for a Droid, got it for Christmas. Had I known how much I would love it instantly I definitely would have BEGGED for it.
