Came over from a BB Curve last month. It's sitting in the closet (returned to stock form with .175 update) as a backup if needed. Can't imagine going back now. My wife went to a Pre from a Pearl - but that's another story.......
Before I finally got my Droid, I had a "dumb" phone, the LG enV 2. Piece of junk, the thing would turn itself off all the time and had horrible functionality.
Former "dumb" phone user here.
I had an LG Env2 and it was good, except the web. Even my $20 flip phone (sprint) was better!
My friends daughter wants it, but if her parents let her have a cell phone, I'm going to convince her to get a newer one since I used it to dealth. TV, text, photos, video... just about everything but calling (I don't use a cell phone for calling much).
Had the Droid for 2 days and love it. Won't give it up for anything.

I had / used a motorola Q9c, Samsung Saga (wanted a touch screen ) along with an Ipaq then a Dell Axim. I always said that if I could melt the devices together it would come close to what I wanted. I even had a compact flash gps for the PPCs. The windows mobile devices just couldn't do it - had multiple email addresses as I coach two teams, work, personal and the batteries just didn't last.
My new Moto Droid is wonderful. Now if I could just figure everything out like which apps can be installed without the phone being rooted. dancedroid
Had 13 phones since 5 years ago. Got an HTC 6800 with Windows Mobile 6.1 on it, first smartphone, killed it. Bought an HTC Touch Diamond, sold it. Got an LG EnV Touch, went through three of them through Verizon (I personally HATE LG) and told them to suck it. Bought my droid from a friend who couldn't afford the monthly bill, and i now have my droid. I am the happiest with my droid now.
Wow, I'm late for this thread. I was due for an update a looooong time ago. I just never saw a phone that made me want to sign another contract with VZW so I was just going month to month.......until the Droid. Saved up an extra 200 bucks and signed a 2 year. I came from a freaking LG "the V" from 2005!!!!!! http://news.vzw.com/images/releases/VX9800H4Web.jpg
Curve 8330. One night, right before bed I was getting my coffee ready for work the next day. Pouring water in to the tank I noticed some of it wasn't going in, to my shock and horror it was splashing on my Curve(mind you not a great deal). Wiped it down and it seemed fine. Went to bed with it on my night stand. Next day the thing would light up with the screen locked. I'd unlock it then it would rinse and repeat many times during the day. Went from charging every couple days to every couple hours. My wife had the same phone but with two large cracks on the screen from a cooking accident(it got between a can of peaches and a countertop) but it still worked fine just not as attractive. Well we went to the Verizon store and now I have the Droid and wifey is quite happy with her Incredible. Miss bbm but little else. Was happy with the Curve but man the Droid has made me a happy camper.

Yes, yes, I know, older than dirt, but the place that I work was selling NOS (new old stock) phones for $25, and it not only got me off the Boost phone I was using, but back on a real network cheaply. Now that I've gone Droid, I'll never look back. dancedroid
I'm currently using a Sony Ericsson with Walkman it's the 2008 version. It was actually my sisters phone but she upgraded to a Blackjack then my phone broke while I was in Maui so I took her old one. So being frustrated with AT&T and a non-fan of Apple I've been looking to go elsewhere. Then on AOTS (Attack of the Show) on G4 gave the DROID Incredible a 5 out of 5. So I knew it was good! So that's my story now I'm just waiting for my DROID Incredible to arrive next month.
Quick follow up, I actually love Sony products but they don't have a Do It All phone yet so I decided to get the DROID Incredible instead of waiting. I was going to wait until E3 for Sony to announce a PSPhone but that is looking unlikely now. But they do have that type of phone I'll go back but for now I'll use the DROID once it gets here!:icon_eek:
