I had the blackberry 8830 and really loved the BB IM it was really nice its the thing I miss most. Other than that I LOVE my Droid my wife wont touch it she says its way to high tech for her lol
My previous phone was an ancient Samsung that did nothing but take pictures
(and not very good ones) and make phone calls. We live in the country and
until recently cell phones would not work there, so figured why bother to upgrade.
Now Verizon works there, so made a big jump upwards to a Droid. I like it, although
it has been a bit of a learning curve, as I am of the "older" generation and not very
tech savy.
I came from a BB Storm. I can't believe that even though I'm still on Verizon's network that my Droid's web speed blazes past that of my Storm. There isn't much I miss about my Storm. I did like the SurePress though.
I came from a Samsung "flip phone" from AT&T to the Droid. The flip phone was an AT&T "Go Phone".....(Actually not a bad service if all you want to do is make phone calls..)
I went from the I Phone loved it until the network turned to crap. Plus it was locked couldn't do much. Then went to Verizon got the blackberry curve loved it but i couldn't track my mileage with gps. So i went to the Droid. It will be the last phone for a while.
i was a diehard BB user but i just didnt see RIM going anywhere anytime soon as far as the OS goes. had the storm 1 and loved the storm 2 but the droid kicks its butt....only thing that i really miss is surepress and BBM
I have 2. The LG Dare is my daily phone and I also have an XV6800 for internet and email push. I also use a Garmin Mobile XT 20 card in it and cracked the GPS radio so it would work without a bluetooth receiver.
Actually had good luck with it, so I am going to give my new Droid a try. I am waiting for it to arrive. I am torn between it and the Imagio. Mainly for the Mobile TV, but seems like the appstore will be a big change from having to pay for everything on a Pocket PC.
enV2......yup, saw this phone and had to get it.....HAD TO!! trying to talk my wife into getting the Eris....she doesn't like the droid (keyboard and bulk) but I think she'll like the Eris....
