coming from a BlackBerry, I frequently participate at crackberry.com. The forum actually has separate sections for Apple OS, Android OS and others, too. The community has always been very active and helpful.
I plan to still hang out there even as I get accustomed to my Incredible.
This is my first and only forum. I might've checked others out over the years, but didn't return with any frequency and haven't participated in discussions anywhere else...
I was in an an anatomy & physiology lab yesterday and we removed the meninges and some other goo from sheep brains. It made me think of "Help me scrape the mucus off my brain" on 12 Golden Country Greats. Sadly, nobody had a clue.
As mentioned above, I also like AVSForum. I used to frequent it a lot. There's not that much reason to post there, though, since the search function actually works well and every question's already been asked. Except for the video gaming boards. But for that, adultgamingenthusiasts.com is better. :icon_ banana:
I am a forum junkie. My very first forum was FocalJet I joined back in 2000. To name a few I frequent
Howard Forums
AVS (6 years)
Harley Davidson Forums
Road Glide Forum
V-Twin Forum (8 years)
HTC Incredible Forums
I am also a member of at least 4 PC forums, 10 different auto forums, several other phone forums, a few more motorcycle forums and a few video game forums. Don't frequent them. Just go if I need to find out something or am bored on a rainy day.
I know there are a lot of NASIOCers on here (subaru impreza forum)
also a member of forums for basically every car I've owned in the last 6 years (dodge, hyundai, ford explorers, toyota, and the imprezas) these forums are really great for finding out small things and trouble shooting your cars.
I also spend a good bit of time reading, and occasionally posting on 2+2 (poker strategy forum)
cheapassgamer.com good information on video game sales, etc
probably abotu 20 others, every year on my birthday I get about 25 "happy birthday" emails from various forums I've registered on over the years.
I've always enjoyed learning and reading about new toys as much as using them. Just about everything I've bought in the last 10 years or so (gadget/music wise) I've joined a forum to learn and make sure I run it on all 8 cylinders. My wife calls me an obsessive gadgetholic and I have to agree with her. For example when I bought my first LCD TV I joined AVS and learned how to go into the service menu and reduce the "red push".
I have been on many forums over the years for cars and other interests, but the main forums I post in are:
alpinezone- a winter sports/outdoor forum for those of us on the East Cost
Fintalk- A saltwater fishing forum
Grand-Am.com- Big road racing fan
Grassrootsmotorsports.com- Racing and autocross nut in me
Specialstage.com- SCCA and NASA Pro Rally site for fans and drivers
Trackpedia- Racetrack and trackday info from all over the country
Crash.net- for all things motorsports, ALMS, MOTOGP, etc.
8thcivic.com- The current daily driver
Luxury4play.com- All things exotic car, racing, lavish living...purely eye candy lol.
