I am not sure I fully understand what you are asking. If you are referring to the little "clock" icon, that's a new one on me.

Edit; Updated information...it's the icon to indicate your husband has an "away" status in Google Talk. It will turn Green when he's showing "available" on Google Talk.

Yes the clock verizon doesn't even know what it is and if it helps we both have the S3

The little clock it's gmail. It tells you he is 'away' or idle from gmail.
