What is the easiest, most reliable way to root/unroot an Android 2.3 phone?

Hmmm. I know anything I've used that is bit-specific I've used the 32-bit version of. Again, I'm on Vista, and if you're on XP trying to run a 64-bit version that may indeed be the cause of your issue.

You know? This happens quite oftenly to me: first something doesn't work, but then it does -- even if I did the exact same thing.

I'm rooted now. Thanks again for the counselling.

Now I just wonder if there's a way to unroot the phone, in case it need to do it. I'd appreciate it if you know the answer and let me know.

The Droid 3 One-Click has an unroot feature as well.
